1803 - 1894

Place Born

Porto Maurizio

Place Died

Benevento

Bio

Vianelli, both a painter and print maker, made frequent trips to Paris and through out Italy sketching views and cityscapes. It is obvious from the detail in this painting of Verona that he had visited the city; the open-air market (which still operates today), medieval and renaissance buildings and Palazzo Maffei, with its statues of the Roman gods, are all meticulously recorded.
